Bank holidays vary across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland has 2 January and St Andrew's Day, but does not usually observe Easter Monday as a bank holiday.

How this working days calculator works

The calculator counts Monday to Friday and removes bank holidays for the selected UK region. England & Wales bank holidays are selected by default.

Standard regional bank holiday rules are generated by year, including substitute weekdays when Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year, or regional fixed-date holidays fall at a weekend. One-off special bank holidays are not included.
